About the project

01

The WHO reports state that 42% of fake medicines reported to them from 2013 to 2017 were from Africa. The PwC account firm goes as far as saying that in some developing regions of Africa a proportion of fake drugs reaches 70%.
Needless to say, fake medicines endanger lives and health of people who otherwise have no way of distinguishing fakes from real pharmaceuticals. Often enough, fake meds are so similar to real ones that only a lab analysis can confirm that it’s counterfeit.

RxAll, founded by Adebayo Alonge, delivers cost-effective and robust tech solutions including a drug testing platform, pharmacy management software, and an invoice financing platform. Their mission is to make quality healthcare accessible to everyone.

There is up to 70% of fake meds in some African countries

medicine will make us well,
not sick”

Challenge

02

Multiple solutions — one website

RxAll is not a ‘one service’ type of company, their team continues to create various solutions to reach their goal of providing safe medicines to everyone.
In all honesty, impactful solutions like this one are among our favorite projects to work on. It gives an extra layer of pride and joy for us to create a website for a company that’s tackling a world-wide problem.

8 Products

Each of these services needed to be presented on the website, so everyone could see the entirety of provided solutions.

Solution

03

In-depth discovery

We always start with a discovery session with our clients, so that we can get to know them and their product. This time we had to start from a scratch — conducting 2 brand discovery sessions. This way we could unravel company’s mission & vision, goals, and determine its voice.

In-depth discovery

This part was crucial in coming up with a design concept that would reflect the brand’s identity as much as presenting their solutions.

Workflow. Five step approach

Discovery & Research

06

Starting with a brand’s discovery was a way to learn how we can better align company’s and customers’ views. We spent a total of 12 hours in discovery sessions, overviewing together everything that company had done and what future they see for themselves. It was very important to understand how this plays for customers long term.

Further research was done on healthcare solutions from all over the world.

Copywriting

07

We carefully drafted all the texts for the website, so it would fit in with our ideas for design.

Prototyping & Design

08

We had to have in mind not just the variety of products but the different types of clients that engage with these solutions. The website was meant to be attractive enough to government officials, public and private organizations, sellers and buyers.

Keeping this in mind, we created a concept which included:

Multiple contact forms

for each product and particular types of users. RxAll has a variety of clients including government officials and pharmacy owners. We designed multiple contact form imbedded in pages and popups, so clients wouldn’t need to search for them and it would be easier for RxAll to process the incoming inquiries.

Customizable blocks

for presenting the information about company. We created sliders for news articles, sections for partners and experts, which RxAll could easily update and customize themselves.

Captivating icons

RxAll has 8 products in pharmacology, healthtech and finance. These solutions serve multiple clients throughout Africa but for the website we tried to tie them together using icons, which represent notions that users usually associate with certain fields:

Animations

This part seemed to be a bit tricky later in the development but nonetheless totally worth it. Implementing animations is one of our favorite ways of ensuring that users wouldn’t just scrool through the website in a few seconds and then leave it totally forgetting what they just checked. Our animations on first screens and throughout the website keep the attention of the users long enough to see the full list of RxAll services.

Simplified graphs

Medical information and technical data can be confusing and, frankly, boring. We created simple graphs to visualize data in a way that wouldn’t be overwhelming to users.

Development

09

Once the design concept was done, we began the development. At first, main page animations proved to be challenging but working in a team, we tackled this challenge.

Testing

10

Each of our projects goes through a series of tests to ensure a bug free release.

Testing

In a few months, we created a website, which provides information to a variety of users, starting with government officials and finishing with local pharmacy sellers. Every RxAll product has a block dedicated to it, contact forms are implemented for each of them.

For a company like RxAll, their story, mission and goals is an important aspect of operating, which is why our design was created to highlight their unique voice.
